Intention setting and ethics is often missing from early product and platform development. As complexity increases, we are somehow amazed when the technology layers follow the business model and outcome intentions we set at the start. Human error, bias, and cruelty has found its way into our artificial representations of “intelligence” as China, the US, Russia, Japan rush to seize power in some undefined new “AI economy”.

The global competition for skilled positions will change as quickly as what skills, what positions, and how we work changes. Our purpose itself is rapidly becoming less defined. The new freedom to explore is at odds wit the requirements for employment, set roles, the obligation to establish an identity through our occupation.
